    The 30ppi sponge is more coarse than the 60ppi that biomasters (currently) come with. You can go a little longer without servicing the filter by using these!

    It's pretty hard to mess up a sponge- these do what they're supposed to. I use the coarser 30ppi sponge for all of my tanks that have biomaster filters. They've held up well with time.
